Baby 39

First off, I would like to thank stagestar10 for this lovely Dancer Skirt gift.  This is my first gift ever and I am very grateful for it.  Thanks so much!  You can visit her 100 baby challenge here.

I would also like the thank her for naming her challenge mother's (Lila Miller) first girl (baby 7) Calista, after my Calista.  She is very adorable and she has blue eyes like Calista. :D

First I aged up Clarensis, baby 37.  He had a more greenish skin tone than his twin brother.  I was so excited when I saw that Clarensis had his father's unique pink and green hair!  He had strange grey eyes though but they were beautiful.

Cornelius, baby 38, had the cool sea green skin and blond hair.  His eyes were even stranger then his brother, a kind of hazel color.  But I loved him all the more!

Harold, baby 35, shaved off all of his long hair he had grown as a toddler.  He was now a little more conscious with the fact that he had looked like a girl as a toddler.   I absolutely loved how Dawn, baby 36, styled her hair.

Baby 35, Beaumont as a teen.  The bridge of his nose was getting even thinner as he aged.  He, too, cut his hair short.

Baby 34, Sergius, as a young adult.

I know this is sudden but after everyone had aged up I took out my phone and made the call I had been dreading.  We were finally moving out of out house.  I loved this house but having all the bedrooms upstairs made living in it quite difficult especially when I had so many small children.  I had made this decision to move after I had given birth to my first set of triplets although I hadn't had the heart to leave.  Until now.

I had spent months looking for a house, saving up money (I'd like to thank my mom and dad for agreeing to pay for part of the house for me.  I couldn't have gotten it without you! XOXO!), and packing our most precious belongings.  The house I chose was very nice and it fit most of my criteria.

"Here we are!" I exclaimed as we arrived at our new property.  It was a massive three story house.  It was much bigger than our old house.

"Shall we take a tour?"

TOUR THE NEW HOUSE: 15 SUMMER HILL COURT

Outside of the house.  It was a beautiful shade of blue.

As we walked in, to the right there was a neat little entry room, a sitting room perhaps?

Down the hallway was my bedroom with an attached hot tub.

Then there was the first of three nurseries.

Another bedroom.  Possibly a guest bedroom.

Next to the bathroom we walked into an office.

Next to that a dining room.

The kitchen and living room.

Down another hallway there were two bedrooms that I made into nurseries.  One for the newborn babies and one for the toddlers.

Next to the stair case there was toy room.  The kids practically screamed when they saw it.
"Toys!  Toys!"  Clarensis chanted gleefully.

On the second floor there were two teen bedrooms.

And two child bedrooms.  I know there are a lot of bedrooms in this house but, hey, they'll come in handy when I have multiples.

There was a skills room and a workout room.

Upstairs on the third floor was a big party area with games...

...a dance floor with a band....

...and a bar with a bubble blower thing.  I was sure we'd be quite the hot spot.
Outside it was beautifully landscaped.  There was a beautiful playground and a pool.

On the deck there was a nice grill with a table and chairs.

The garage had two spots for two NEW cars!

Attached to that was an inventing/sculpting room.  Pretty much a room where messy stuff happens.

BACK TO THE STORY

The kids ran straight for the toy room.

While they played I was finally, finally, I was able to call up Blake Sumner for baby 39.  He sounded very excited over the phone.

He knocked on the door, a little to eager.  His face was bright and he looked so much older than I knew he was yet he also looked so inexperienced with girls.  As I let him in I could tell he was nervous and I knew something was different about him.  Despite the fact that blonds are considered popular and all that, Blake didn't seem that way at all.  He acted as though this was the first time he had even talked to a girl who wasn't his mother.  I really wanted to get this over with.

"Okay... let's go." I said slowly.  To pick up the pace I made small talk although it was obvious that he wanted to get to the baby making.

"Did you change your hair?"

"Yeah, I'm so glad you noticed.  I did it for you."

"Oh."

Okay, that's a little creepy considering the fact that I don't really know him.  I didn't even want to kiss him.  I had no physical attraction to him like with most fathers, yet he seemed to adore me.  I just couldn't get over the fact that he was so young and truthfully not the brightest bulb in the chandelier!!!

He acted so... what's the word?.. girly?  I mean, what boy does that?  He was so weird!

After a while he made the move I dreaded.  He puckered his lips as he lean in and planted a wet kiss on my cheek.  I reacted much faster than I had expected.

"I'm sorry, it's just that you're so... new... to this." There, I said it.  No hard feelings right?

Wrong.  He looked as if I had slapped him.  Feeling pity for him I reached out and gave him a hug.

"I'm so sorry.  Let's just move on with it."  He just nodded.

We "flirted" some more and somehow we made baby 39.  Although I don't mean to be rude but it wasn't romantic in any way for me and I didn't enjoy it at all.  I practically had to help him do it and then he got caught and he fumbled and ... oh never mind.  Let's just say I can easily tell this is not something he's done before.  Ever.  I doubt he even knew what he was doing this for.  I was just glad that it was all over with and I would never have to see him again.

After making baby 39 Blake pulled me in for an embrace.  His hand lingered a little too long for comfort on my hip.

I was practically pushing him to the door a bit too eagerly when he suddenly turned to face me.

"Calista, I know we just met and I know we don't really know anything about each other but I want be with you."  He said.

His voice was barely above a whisper.  No, no, no I thought.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Ahhhh!!! I screamed internally.  I started laughing when I realized he was serious.

"No! Um, Blake, I thought you said you understood the rules of the challenge.  Remember, no commitment."

"I know," Blake said his face still hopeful.  "But that was before we did it."  I wanted to laugh.

"Blake!  Just because we woohooed doesn't mean I love you.  It doesn't mean that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.  You were just a participant in a challenge of mine.  It doesn't mean anything."

I know this was sort of cruel but I was so shocked and very badly wanted him to leave.   We stood their awkwardly.

"Oh... okay."  He muttered sadly.  I noticed his cheeks turning a bright red from embarrassment.

"Okay so..."  I prompted, hinting him that it was time for him to go.

"Will you marry me then?" he blurted out.

EEEKKK!!  What the --!

My jaw dropped.  Wait, what?  Did he just say that?  I seriously thought he was smarter than that.  I politely rejected him (again).  Why couldn't he take the hint and leave.

"No Blake." I said firmly.  "I appreciate the honor but it's a no.  I'm doing the challenge remember?"

"Plus," I added in a joking sort of way.  "Can you imagine me with a rock on my finger?"

He looked quite defeated so I gave him a quick hug.

"Please, don't take this personally."  I added quickly (It was definitely personal.  Had some other more handsome challenge fathers (*cough* Simon *cough*) asked me, I would have said yes before he finished proposing).  "But you are always free to visit and check up on the pregnancy!"

That seemed to cheer him up and he walked up to his car with a little more pride in his stride.  Boy, he was a weird guy.

Right after Blake left I threw up in the nice dirty toilet.  Afterward, I looked around noticing all the dirty clothes that had accumulated.  I need maid I thought.  My old maid had left when we had moved.

The next day two Sims appeared at my doorstep.  Apparently our new house was so big it took two maids to do the job.  I had really approved of this cleaning service so I didn't have to observe them doing their duties like I had last time.

That morning I made Eggs Machiavellian.

The kids loved it.  Especially with the greasy bacon (Yeah, we're a really healthy family).

Blake must have taken my words very seriously because he came over the next day, seeming to forgot my rejection yesterday.

"How is the little baby.  Has it come out yet?"  He asked.

I started to laugh until I realized he wasn't joking (again).

"Blake, don't you know how babies work?  They don't just pop out over night."

I was really beginning to question his intelligence.

Then he asked a question that was way too smart for him.

"Hey, why didn't you want to be my girlfriend?  Do you already have a boyfriend or what?"  I nearly fell over, I had not expected that question to pop out of his mouth.

"Well... yes, I do have a boyfriend (what a total lie!)," I said surprised with myself.  Fortunately he didn't question it.

"Oh," he said.

Politely, I sent him off on his way.  He didn't want to go until I told him that when women are pregnant they really need the men to take 3 month trips to Singapore in order for the baby to develop well.

Sadly, he believed me.  Over the next 3 months he didn't come over.  He called a few times and I never thought to ask him where he was.  Finally I called his mother and she said he was traveling abroad.  Goodness gracious I thought.  I told his mother to wish him good luck and we hung up.  Telling him that lie got him out of my hair but now I felt kind of bad.  I hadn't realized how naive and gullible he actually was.  Also, I wondered what he could possibly be doing in Singapore!

It made me laugh very hard and it put me in a great mood.  Dawn was a little puzzled by my sudden giddiness as she and I worked on a painting for the bathroom.

Sorry I haven't mentioned my kids much.  Beaumont was doing very well in school and fortunately no one teased him about his looks.  He loved to play rugby on the JV team for school and his favorite subject was media arts.  At home he averaged reading 2 books a week and he loved playing with his little brothers and on the playground.

Dawn started learning how to play the recorder and the violin in school and her favorite subject is art.  She also enjoys playing with her little brothers and her twin.  She and Harold love to swing on the swing set all the time talking about school and making up fun stories.  I have been hoping that their relationship will continue to grow all the way until their adulthood.

Harold loves to run.  He's a very athletic little boy and he would run all day if I let him.  Sometimes his sister joins him in a fun game of tag.

I taught the toddlers to walk, talk, and go potty, with a little help from Beaumont of course!

The toddlers were really learning their skills quickly, which makes me wonder how long it took Blake's mother to teach him his necessary skills or if she just gave up.  I know this is mean but I'm 120% possitive that my little toddlers, as well as all my other children, are probably way smarter than Blake.  Gosh, I am mean.

"You're going to be a big brother Cornelius!"  He giggled as I tossed him over my head.

After I was well over half-way through my pregnancy, I felt the need to call Blake just to tell him how the baby was developing (although I really didn't want to).  Based on the ultrasound I knew I was having a single birth but I didn't know, and didn't want to know, the gender. Blake was super excited to be a father (hey, if I were a parent at 22 years of age I would be scared not excited).  He put his ear to my stomach and even talked to it.

"Hi baby," he said.  "How's it going in there.  I can't wait to meet you."

"Hey, Blake, I need to go to the spa.  Would you mind taking care of the little ones for me?"

He agreed.  I know I'm crazy to let that man near my kids.  I didn't really trust him but Beaumont was there and so were Harold and Dawn so I wasn't too worried.

After my much needed massage I hinted to Blake that he should go.  Surprisingly he did.  He was going to go fishing in the pond across from my house.

I was about to go check my email when I noticed Matthew Turner (father to babies 35 and 36, Harold and Dawn) outside at the pond where Blake was supposedly fishing.  I walked over to him and also said hello to my daughter Orchid, baby 24, and her husband Peter Peterson.

"Hey Matt!  How are you doing."  I greeted.

"Calista!  I didn't think to find you here.  I see you're having a baby.  Who's the fa-"

He couldn't finish.  My body felt those same feelings for Matt as I had felt when I had first met him.  I couldn't resist the urge.  I reached out and kissed him.  He took my surprise attack quite well and he kissed me back just as passionately.  We stood like that for a long time.  It was starting to get dark. I was remembering those words I had told Blake about me having a boyfriend.  I think I was just doing this because I needed the company of a man who cared about me and had an I.Q. of at least 100.

Speaking of Blake, he came over and saw us kissing.  His reaction was nothing like I thought it would be.

"So you're the mysterious boyfriend!"  He accused.  Pointing at Matt.  I never thought he was the jealous type.  He seemed so innocent and dumb.  Maybe he's selectively dumb, like how some people have selective hearing.

"What the-" Matt started to say.  He must have been quite startled.  I mean, he almost swore.
"Why were you doing that.  She said there is no commitment in the challenge so you can't go around kissing her like that like you rule the world or something.  And you must be the reason she rejected my proposal!"  Blake was on a roll.  I didn't even know he knew some of those words that were spewing out of his mouth.  This was quite the entertainment.

Matt found this quite amusing too. Like me, he had realized how naive and inexperienced Blake was in the world of love.  Matt glanced at me with a grin on his face.

"Hmm... I guess I am breaking the rules.  Would it be so bad if I did... this?"  He challenged Blake and to my complete and utter surprise he was the one pulling me in for a good, long kiss.  It felt good.  Maybe it would be nice to have a boyfriend....

"HEY-!"  Blake was about to retort but he was cut off by my HEY!  I was going into labor.  Blake seemed to forget about his fight as he and Matthew started panicking.

I waddling home, gripping my hands together through the pain.  Matt offered to come with but told him no.  Blake came and I couldn't say no since he was the father.  Of course, he was no help.  Fortunately the labor was short and out popped a sweet little girl.  Baby 39 was born.  I named her Amanda Josephine.

Blake was very excited to be a father.  After swaddling Amanda I brought her over to Blake to hold her.

"Come meet your new baby, Blake."  I cooed.  Amanda gurgled and as I walked over she let out a big hiccup and barfed all over the front of Blake's shirt.  I found this quite funny and had to work hard not to laugh.

"Uh, I think I need to change my shirt."  And Blake left.

I assume all the parental instincts he had felt had gone down the drain as he walked away saying some words I hadn't even thought he had known.  He was such a strange man.

After I had shut and bolted the door and walked into the nursery, I couldn't help it.  I laughed harder than ever.  Blake had been much more trouble than I had ever believed (a few months later I found out the Blake had been fired from his job as a paparazzi for having a child out of wedlock).
"That's my girl."  I praised Amanda and she nestled more snugly in the crook of my arm.  She was the best thing that had come out of this and for that I was grateful.  I just hoped she would turn out to be like her father.

FAMILY UPDATE

To continue, Callidora, baby 31, and her husband Phoenix Vircus had a lovely little boy named Leviathan and they were now expecting another baby.  They had twin boys, Jamil and Cory.  Jamil had black hair and purple eyes (like his mother) and Cory had brown hair and blue eyes (like his father).  They were both vampires.  Cory also had his mother's pale blue skin.

Simon, baby 32, married Cataline Moore.  She had pink-purple hair and grey-blue eyes.

They went for children right away.  From what Cataline has told me, Simon has been a great father as well as a great husband.

They had twins, Claus and Jon.  Claus had his mother's pink-purple hair and his father's green eyes.  Jon had strange black hair and familiar green eyes from his father.  I just love this picture that Simon and Cataline had sent to me in the mail.  Jon looks so cute chomping on his fingers like that.  Their hairstyles are quite extreme, but adorable!

Simon Simmons and my sister Alicia had twin boys!  I am so proud but also sort of jealous.  I still have feelings for Simon.  Anyway, they named their boys Garth and Graham.  Garth got his father's blue, green, and yellow hair and pale blue eyes.  He was the exact carbon copy of Simon!  Graham was just the opposite.  He had gotten his mother's blond hair and her green eyes.  They were such a cute family!

As for Sergius, baby 33.  He didn't want to settle down just yet.  He works with his father, Sergio Do, as a mixologist's apprentice.

NOTE

I would like to add that my game is now working and I hope to get caught up on my posts!  I am sorry this one is a little later than usual.  The next one might take some time since I have AP exams and MCA tests coming up and it's almost the end of the school year!  I can't WAIT for summer!  Also, I am not ahead on my posts like I have been in the past.  I've been too busy!  But I'm just glad my game works. :D

While I'm at it, I would also like to give a big thanks to all the creators of custom content.  Without you I would not have been able to create my nice house!  Thanks to SIMcredible!, all creators at TRS, Vitasims 3Mod the Sims, Simiversity, Sims TR, Stylist Sims, Sweet Ambrogia, Around the Sims , Anubis, All About Style, Annamaria, Elynia, Fashion Twist, Imaginarium of Green, In AnticipationLiana, Lili, Lorandia, My Blue Book, Parsimonious, Peggy, Poppy, Raon, Robod195, Rose, Sky Sims, XM Sims, the Sims 3 Store and last but not least, one of my all-time favorite sites... Paysites Must be Destroyed.

Again, my game wasn't working and so I had to delete all my custom content.  One good thing about this is that I have since then been documenting where I get ALL of my custom content.  This is something I have been wanting to do for a while (I'm a perfectionist) so I am sort of glad that my game was having troubles.  Anyway, now if you ask, I am positive that I will be able to tell you where I got my custom content.  I love this system!

So please comment or give name suggestions or fathers and feel free to ask questions.  Although, if you've been reading past comments, I am quite backed up right now on fathers but I'll find room.  I love getting comments.  They really make my day! :D

  1. Hi! I just started reading your baby challenge and I LOVE it! I really want custom contents but I don't want to mess up my game, so I only get stuff from the store...sigh...

Some Favorite kids are Flora, Rose, Sienna, and the Vampire twin girls!

  2. I know exactly what you mean about the custom content. It really does mess up your game (it messed up mine). I've started limiting the amount of custom content to only what I really need, not just what looks good. Also, I love the stuff from the store although I have no more simpoints. This comment really means a lot to me. I'm glad you have been reading my challenge. :D Off to bed now...

  3. So cool that you kept a record of where you get your CC. I too, am a perfectionist in many things, yet I keep forgetting to document something like this. >.<

I absolutely loved the paparazzi guy, and his reactions to becoming a new father. :D

  5. @Destiny - I know, I'm super super super happy about the CC thing! It makes me shout for joy everytime I think about it! I like Blake too but I still think he's kind of creepy.

@Stagestar10 - Thanks for saying you're welcome! I love getting gifts and you are truly my first friend to give you a gift. I would return the gift but I have no simpoints. If I did, I would be gifting all my fellow blogger like crazy! :D

  6. Thanks! I love it too! I'm trying to make my story line flow a little better. I was so happy when Matthew Turner was outside. It gave Calista a rare chance to visit with other sims in the town besides the maids and the occasional school friends.

  14. The new house is incredible! Did u design it yourself or download it? Gosh, Blake is too romantically involved for a challenge dad! Amanda is a cute name. :) I hop this question wont' annoy u, but could u possibly visit my blog? Thnx.:)

  15. Thanks for the comment!

Yes, I did build and design the ENTIRE house. Although I didn't really design most of the rooms. I just found CC rooms I liked and copied the pictures (It's easy to tell which one's I actually designed myself because they don't look that great). That's why I thanked all those creators of CC at the end of my post. I would feel bad if I didn't give them any credit.

I tried to make Blake weird, annoying, little kiddish, and also obsessed. I hope I succeeded in that!

Of course I'll visit your blog, I love adding new blogs to my list and I love reading fresh new stories!

    P.S. I love Amanda's name too!

  20. Loved this post! LOL on the part were Blake blew up at Matthew. Hilarious! XD I think Matthew and Calista make a cute couple but neither of them are available. :( awe! Oh well! I can't wait to find who Calista does end up with at the end of her challenge. Also I think Harold and Dawn are adorable twins. Maybe their own kids will inherit their father's skin and hair. only time will tell! :D

  21. Like I mentioned in a previous comment, I was so glad when Matthew showed up. It gave me something to write about. I'm very sad Matt can't be with Calista. I've been starting to make her begin to wonder about starting a relationship.

  22. Beautiful! I really like Matt :( It's kinda sad that they can't be together..they would make a really cute couple..maybe when the challenge is over? Unless she finds someone even better? :D LOVE YOUR BABY CHALLENGE BTW <3 It's what I read when I get bored with writing mine.

  23. Also, I was wondering if you would maybe upload the house or send a link to it..because I am terrible at designing things...I would change a few things just to make it my own but a base to start from would be awesome! If not, I totally get it..sometimes I get attached to my houses and want them for myself :)
